Uncle Matt

Maree got to meet Uncle Matt at Christmas, but as holidays go, it was hectic and there was a lot of "pass the baby around" - so I didn't get to talk to him much!  For quite a while now, I've been trying to get him to take a vacation to Arizona so he could see his favorite sister - and of course Maree & Marc :)  While we always talk about him visiting, his life as project manager for an engineering firm has kept him busy.  So it was much to my surprise that I woke up one morning with a Southwest email in my inbox - Matt had booked a flight!! 

Now that Matt has 3 nieces... I'm pretty sure he's not only going to be a great dad someday, but his future girlfriend is going to melt when she sees how good he is with kids :) Maree loved seeing him & he even got to do a little babysitting!! He almost made it the whole weekend without getting spit up on, but she did manage to get him pretty good once!  However, the trip was more fun than just hanging with Maree and me - he & Marc definitely went out on the town & I'm pretty sure they had a line of girls waiting to talk to them! I know Marc enjoyed helping a 24 year old Matt have a good time... We LOVED having him visit... and hopefully this becomes a more regular thing :)
