With Maree now 16 months, and the fact that we now have our own pool, we decided it was time to get her into swim lessons. First, we had to deal with her ear tubes. Unfortunately, until these tubes fall out on their own, Miss Maree has to wear special ear plugs & a swimming headband to keep them in place - it's a good thing I've always had her in headbands/bows because she didn't mind having it on her head at all!
Once we got to swim lessons, we tried to get a few pictures "before," but she wasn't having it - she just wanted into the water! I have to say I don't know what I was expecting for swim lessons, but it seemed pretty unorganized and more just like "do your own thing," but perhaps that's all they do at this age?! Maree obviously didn't care, and all she wanted to do was play. In fact, when in the deep water, she wanted to do everything on her own... not realizing that she'd drown without daddy holding her - she has NO FEAR!

After swim lessons were finished, they let us go and play in the wading pool & boy did she LOVE that. All she wanted to do was run... but as we all know, running in water doesn't work so well. Needless to say, she fell about 100 times. We let her play for 20 minutes, and when we took her out, she screamed the entire way to the locker room, and all the way to the car. Apparently we have a little water bug on our hands!

| She liked playing with the rings... unfortunately she didn't share so well |

| So from then on, he assumed the 'lifeguard ready' pose |

The "lifeguard ready" pose is hilarious! Such a little sweetie in the water! She will be an awesome swimmer!!!
