Father's Day

Every day I am so thankful for all that Marc does for me, and for our little family.  And while he is a great husband... this is a day to talk about why he's such a great dad!  I love how he gets on the floor and plays with Maree everyday.  I love how when he changes her diaper she often doesn't get any clothes put back on :)  I love how he always is so proud to show her off... but mostly, I just love how much he loves her!! 

It is very obvious how much Maree adores her daddy too - she lights up when she sees him in a totally different way than she does for anyone else!  They actually have a cute ritual... after work, Marc always walks in the house and greets her with "MA-REEEE POORTINGAAAA" (in a sports announcers voice) and she instantly whips her head around to see where her daddy is and gives him a huge smile and just lunges toward him.  It is funny too, because when he calls me and he tries to talk to her over the phone, she'll hear his voice and immediately look to the door where she usually sees him come in - and then she looks back at me all confused like, "I know I heard him, but I don't see him???"  too cute.

Because this is a special day to honor dads, and because this is Marc's official first father's day, I wanted to add some of my favorite daddy/daughter pictures - one thing is for certain, Maree LOVES her daddy :)

Daddy tried to help with a diaper change.. but couldn't figure out how to get the snaps to work... so he left it like this!

These two play constantly - as soon as he's home from work, he's on the floor playing with her... and boy is he more fun than mommy!!

Marc, you are so loved by both Maree and me... thank you for being such a great man, husband, and father!  I hope you enjoy your father's day present!!  (It only took 3,456 tries to get these 3)
