I remember when I loved Labor Day because it was a much needed 3 day break from teaching.. now I love these 3 day weekends because it means having Marc home for an extra day & more playtime as a family!! I feel bad we don't do many outdoor activities with Maree - I guess that is the problem with living in Arizona -- it's over 100 degrees everyday from May to October, so playing outdoors hardly lasts more than 15 minutes before Maree turns bright red from the heat. Also, we have no grass, so it is hard to ever put her down & really let her play! BUT, this weekend, I wanted to make sure we got some outdoor activities in.
Fairmont Princess Hotel Pool
To beat the heat, our group of friends gets together here every year and this is our first time that we were able to add a kid into the mix! Maree LOVES the water & is totally unafraid of it (we will definitely be getting some child proof pool protection for our new house because of this!) She played hard from 1:00-5:00 without taking any sort of afternoon nap & she wasn't cranky once! Granted, as soon as we got in the car, she was out for the rest of the evening/night. The combination of the pool/heat sure wore all of us out!

Park
This weekend I also wanted to check out the park that is right behind our new house! Maree got to try out the swings & at first, she wasn't so sure about them, but after a little while, she decided it was fun. She liked the bouncy walkway the best, probably because Marc was making her jump high. The slide was the hardest.. she really didn't know what to think of that & was even nervous being on our laps going down. I'm sure this will be a place we frequent once we actually move - I'm just happy its so convenient/close!!

| Her eyes seemed really blue here |

| Maree loves to "high five" just like her daddy |
 |
| She's SMILING!! We hardly ever get to capture one of these on camera |

Lot's of smiles on the bouncy walkway!

All of the excitement tuckered this little girl out
